Rochdale Council is seeking a Nursery Class Teacher for a temporary maternity-cover post. The role is part-time (8.30am–12.00pm, Monday to Friday) with a pro-rata salary on the Main Scale.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Experience in planning play-based learning and progression.
• Ability to work with parents and carers.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver EYFS-based teaching in Nursery.
• Observe and assess children's development and plan next steps.
• Create an inclusive, stimulating learning environment that supports language, literacy and numeracy.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and school staff to ensure quality provision.
• Engage with parents to support children's learning at home and in transitions.
