About Early Years Ltd. is seeking a Nursery Teacher for a maternity cover at a welcoming primary school in Stoke-on-Trent, starting January 2027. You will take full responsibility for the Nursery class and deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

The role is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ambitious early years practitioner with QTS. You will work with teaching assistants, plan engaging activities, assess progress, maintain records, support safeguarding, and contribute

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Early Years/Nursery teaching is preferred.
• Ability to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities and assess progress.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the Nursery class and its day-to-day provision.
• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Assess children’s progress and maintain accurate records.
• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure high-quality provision.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold safeguarding.
