Cherubs Nurseries in Mansfield is seeking a Nursery Chef to prepare and cook healthy meals and snacks for children aged 0-5. You will champion cooking activities with the children and help support events such as Parent’s Evening and Summer Fair.

You will maintain high kitchen hygiene, manage weekly food orders, monitor stock, and ensure compliance with health and safety rules. The role offers a part-time, school-day schedule with a supportive team and opportunities for development within Cherubs

Qualifications

• DBS check and right to work in the UK is required.
• Experience in nursery or childcare environment is preferred.
• Ability to maintain high hygiene standards in a busy kitchen.

Responsabilités

• Prepare healthy meals and snacks from Cherubs menus.
• Lead cooking activities with children and assist events.
• Remove kitchen waste and dispose of it properly.
• Place weekly food orders and liaise with Head Office for payments.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and organisation.
• Monitor and rotate stock to avoid waste.
• Follow Health and Safety rules and keep fridge/freezer temperatures records.
• Follow Kitchen Operations Pack and keep it updated.
