Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries is seeking a dedicated Nursery Chef in Watnall to prepare healthy meals for children in our nurseries. This 30-hour-per-week role runs Monday to Friday, 7am–1pm, delivering nutritious dishes that fuel learning and play.

You’ll follow approved menus, manage kitchen hygiene and stock, and support events and fundraisers as part of a friendly, family-run team. Training and development pathways are available.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for children is preferred.
• Commitment to high hygiene and food safety standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow menus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy and nutritious meals from approved Cherubs menus.
• Support cooking activities with children and assist at nursery events.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and clean as you go.
• Order weekly supplies and liaise with Head Office for payments.
• Keep stocks and temperature logs up to date.
