Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries in Watnall, England, is seeking a dedicated Nursery Chef to prepare healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for our children, following approved Cherubs menus. This 30-hours-per-week role runs Monday to Friday, 7am–1pm, ensuring warm meals and smiles to fuel learning and play.

You’ll champion kitchen hygiene and stock management, help with weekly food orders, and support our community-focused environment where staff development and progression are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing meals for young children.
• Ability to follow approved Cherubs menus.
• Commitment to high hygiene standards and safety guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy meals and snacks following Cherubs menus.
• Lead kitchen hygiene and stock management.
• Handle weekly food orders and liaise with Head Office for payments.
• Maintain accurate fridge/freezer temps and stock rotation.
• Support events with child-friendly food for celebrations and Parents' Evening.
• Contribute to a positive, learning-focused kitchen environment.
