Job description

Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking a Nursery Cook/Chef to be based at Nuneaton in our Nuffield Health gym.

You will need good verbal and written English skills, Food Allergen Awareness training (which we can provide), strong organizational skills, and confidence in encouraging children to develop a love of food. An enhanced DBS check is also required as part of your application.

As a Nursery Cook, you will:

1. Be responsible for organizing and operating our nursery kitchen.
2. Work with seasonal menus and use fresh ingredients to prepare healthy, nutritious food.
3. Order supplies from nominated suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels.
4. Work within a set budget alongside your manager.
5. Minimize food waste.
6. Support laundry tasks and ensure the cleanliness of your kitchen.
7. Deal with third-party suppliers.
8. Work in accordance with environmental health standards.
