St. George's Nursery is seeking a reliable Nursery Cook to provide balanced meals and snacks for children. The role emphasizes dietary needs, allergen awareness, and maintaining high hygiene standards in a supportive nursery environment.

The position is part-time (25 hours per week) with a pay rate of £12.95 per hour, offering opportunities for ongoing CPD and professional development within a caring team.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, ideally in childcare, school, or care setting.
• Knowledge of allergens and safe food storage.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Passion for children’s health and nutrition.

Responsabilités

• Plan, prepare, and cook daily meals and snacks for children across the nursery.
• Cater for all dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences.
• Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
• Keep accurate kitchen records, stock checks, and temperature logs.
• Work closely with the Nursery Manager to create seasonal menus that are healthy, appealing, and fun for children.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
