Job summary

Storal is seeking a Nursery Chef/Cook for Kingswood DayCare Nursery in Mitcham. You will prepare nutritious meals in a child-friendly setting, while upholding high safety and hygiene standards across the kitchen operations.

You will cater for dietary needs, maintain stock, and ensure compliance with food safety and COSHH guidelines, helping create enriching mealtime experiences for children.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food and Hygiene required.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen as assistant cook or similar.
• Knowledge of Health regulations and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals in the nursery kitchen while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
• Cater for children with specific dietary needs.
• Maintain stock levels and rotate stock.

How you’ll spend your time here

As a Nursery Chef/Cook, you’ll prepare nutritious, freshly made meals whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene in the nursery kitchen at all times. Your flexibility and reliability will ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.

• Catering for children with specific dietary needs
• Working to an extremelyhigh level when it comes to the relevantFood and Hygiene,Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health and Safety and Ofsted guidelines and regulations
• Ensuring thatall children have rich stimulating eating experiences
• Maintaining stock levels and ensuring stock rotation
• Following COSHH and other relevant guidelines

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

• Level 2 Food and Hygiene
• Experience in a commercial kitchen as an assistant cook/chef or something very similar
• KnowledgeofHealth regulations and COSHH
