We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Assistant to join our New team at Bright Line Nursery and Pre-school. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Lead Practitioner and Room Leader in planning and delivering activities that promote children's learning and development
• Assist in creating a safe and welcoming environment that encourages children's exploration and curiosity
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Help to establish and maintain a daily routine, including mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor play
• Assist with the administration of medication and first aid, as required
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
• Contribute to the overall smooth running of the nursery

Requirements

• 2 years of experience working in a childcare setting
• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or a related field (or willingness to work towards)
• Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• DBS clearance
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team

Desired Qualifications

• Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) knowledge and understanding
• Experience of working with children of various ages and abilities
• Good Knowledge of Safeguarding children (training available)
