A welcoming and supportive School in Redditch is seeking a Nursery Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Nursery child with autism and challenging behaviours. This part‑time role is working within the school’s Early Years setting and offers the opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s development within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
This opportunity would suit a patient, resilient, and caring Nursery Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly autism. The school is looking for someone who can build positive relationships, remain calm under pressure, and work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support the child’s individual needs.
As a Nursery Assistant, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day, helping the child to access learning, develop social skills, and regulate behaviour. You will play an important role in creating a safe, structured, and positive environment that supports the child’s emotional and educational development.
This Nursery Assistant position is based in Redditch and is easily commutable from surrounding areas such as Astwood Bank, Studley, Inkberrow and the surrounding areas. The school offers good transport links and on‑site parking.
