Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Assistant for private day nurseries in the Wakefield area. Immediate start with a temporary basis, supporting children across the nursery, assisting with daily routines, and promoting learning through play in a safe, inclusive setting.

The role requires at least six months of childcare experience and knowledge of the EYFS, along with a caring, enthusiastic attitude and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Salary: £12 - £14 per hour

We are looking to appoint Nursery Assistants on a temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children across the nursery's assisting with daily routines, encouraging learning through play and helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for every child.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• A minimum of six months' experience working within a childcare setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• A willingness to support across different age groups where required
