Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is working with a small, friendly nursery in the LS2 area of Leeds to appoint a Nursery Assistant. The role supports children with daily learning in line with EYFS and helps maintain a safe, stimulating environment.

The ideal candidate is caring, enthusiastic and a strong team player, with a willingness to work towards a Level 3 childcare qualification. A permanent position with both part-time and full-time hours is available.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a small, friendly nursery based in the LS2 area of Leeds, who are looking to appoint a Nursery Assistant. This welcoming setting has a supportive team who are passionate about providing a nurturing environment where children can learn, explore and develop through play.

The nursery is looking to take on a dedicated Nursery Assistant on a permanent basis, with both part‑time and full‑time positions available and an immediate start. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children with their daily learning and development, assist with engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and help maintain a safe, stimulating and positive environment.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• A childcare qualification is desirable but not essential, with unqualified applicants welcome to apply
• A willingness to work towards a Level 3 childcare qualification
• An interest in developing knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• A caring, enthusiastic and positive 'can-do' attitude
