Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Pontefract and surrounding areas is seeking a friendly Nursery Assistant to join welcoming private day nurseries. Immediate start and flexible part-time, on-site duties with potential permanent opportunities.

The role includes assisting with daily routines, supporting EYFS goals, and helping children learn through play in a caring, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• The successful Nursery Assistant will have a minimum of six months' experience in a childcare setting.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• A willingness to support across different age groups where required.

We are looking to appoint Early Years Assistants on a day-to-day basis, with permanent opportunities also available. The successful Early Years Assistant will support children across the nurseries, assisting with daily routines, encouraging learning through play and helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for every child.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• A minimum of six months' experience working within a childcare setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
