Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Nursery Assistant located in Cardiff. The Nursery Assistant will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being, supporting their learning and development, and maintaining a positive and inclusive environment. Daily tasks include supervising children, assisting with activities, completing daily observations and termly developmental tools and supporting children with their personal care needs. Additionally, the Nursery Assistant will communicate regularly with management, parents and caregivers and adhere to all safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience with Nursery or Childcare
• The ability to speak Welsh
• Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding and Safeguarding Children
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare)
• First Aid certification is a plus, although training will be provided
• Experience working with children with additional needs is beneficial
• A driving licence with access to a car is desired
