Welsh-Speaking Nursery Assistant
Location: Cardiff
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £13.70-£14.00 per day

We are seeking a Fluent Welsh Nursery Assistant to join our dedicated team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young children in a bilingual environment and want to gain experience in a supportive nursery setting.

About the Nursery:

This nursery is a vibrant and welcoming space for children aged 0 to 5 years. They prioritise the emotional and educational development of every child, creating a nurturing atmosphere where bilingualism, creativity, and learning flourish. The team is committed to providing high-quality early years education and care.

About the Role:

As a Welsh-Speaking Nursery Assistantt, you will support the Lead Educators in delivering engaging activities that promote children’s development across all areas. You will help create a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring children are happy, engaged, and learning through play. Your role will involve using Welsh as a primary language of communication, interacting with children, maintaining a clean and organised space, and building positive relationships with parents and carers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and bilingual development.
  • Supervise and engage with children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Support the Lead Educators in maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Help with daily routines, including meals, nap times, and personal care.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and well-being.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Welsh (essential).
  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable.
  • A warm, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to different situations.
  • CACHE Level 3 in Childcare or a similar qualification is desirable but not essential.
