Job summary

InHealth is seeking an experienced Nurse Team Leader to guide a multi-location Lung Cancer Screening nursing team. The role combines remote leadership with monthly on-site clinics, offering strategic oversight and strong stakeholder engagement across East and North Hertfordshire, West Essex, and surrounding areas.

You will drive clinical governance, staff development, and nurse-led services in a flexible, patient-centred model, with no weekend work and a predominantly home-based pattern.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration.
• Significant respiratory nursing experience.
• Experience leading and developing clinical teams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across programme locations.
• Spirometry/ARTP accreditation and IRMER training (or willingness to undertake).
• Leadership, coaching or teaching qualification.
• Experience within screening services or cancer pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
• Lead nurse-led clinics and deliver specialist respiratory care.
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety and governance.
• Support workforce planning, performance management and staff development.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and screening discussions.
• Oversee nodule surveillance and incidental findings pathways.
• Support service audits and quality improvement projects.
• Build strong relationships with clinical stakeholders and partner organisations.
