If you're an experienced nurse looking for a more supportive, balanced role where your skills still make a real difference, NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) could be just the change you're looking for. Here, we do things differently. You’ll still be making a huge impact helping collect plasma that saves lives, but without some of the stress and strain of traditional NHS roles. It’s a chance to use your clinical and leadership skills in a role that gives back, while giving you room to grow.
Our donors are incredible people, and your job is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. You’ll also be leading and supporting a team of Healthcare Assistants in our Plasma Donor Centres, helping them do their best work and build their confidence and skills along the way.
Don’t worry if you don’t have experience with plasma donation; we’ll teach you everything you need to know. We offer a full induction and training programme, including around 6 weeks of supernumerary time with a mentor to support you as you settle in.
This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to be part of a close-knit, values-led team that truly cares. If you're ready for a new kind of nursing role where development, support, and people come first, we’d love to hear from you.
