Staffscanner Ltd. seeks an experienced Nurse Manager on an interim maternity cover basis to strengthen clinical governance and assurance across our nursing team from Glasgow HQ, with occasional client-site visits.

You will lead professional practice, ensure regulatory compliance, support safe recruitment and develop guidance in line with standards while collaborating with HR and operations.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or handling clinical quality duties.
• Working knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience supporting clinical quality, risk management or complaints processes.
• Confidence working with HR-led processes and organisational structures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build professional relationships.
• Sound clinical judgement with focus on patient safety, quality and accountability.

Responsabilités

• Support governance, professional support, workforce development and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate, NMC and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to regulatory inspections, audits and quality reviews.
• Lead safer recruitment processes for the nursing workforce.
• Develop and maintain clinical guidance aligned with evidence‑based practice.
• Provide clinical advice to nurses, clients and internal teams.
• Facilitate structured clinical supervision and reflective practice.
• Visit client sites to provide clinical assurance and oversight.
• Escalate clinical practice, conduct and capability concerns.
• Identify training and development needs for nurses.
• Support competency assurance and revalidation activities.
• Assist in management of clinical complaints and incidents.
• Highlight trends and opportunities for improvement from data.
• Collaborate with HR, operations, clients and stakeholders to maintain standards.
