Job summary

SJB Medical is recruiting a Functional Assessor to apply clinical judgement in health‑related assessments for benefits. Based at one of our UK centres, you’ll work standard hours with no night shifts or weekends and join a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

You’ll conduct functional assessments, produce clear reports, keep accurate records, and engage in CPD with structured training and clear career development paths.

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• Have no current restrictions to practice.
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports.
• Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards.
• Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision.
• Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity.
