Job summary

SJB Medical is hiring a Functional Assessor to join our healthcare team at a UK centre. You will conduct functional assessments, produce high-quality reports, and apply clinical judgement across physical and mental health conditions.

This role offers regular hours (9–5, Monday–Friday), no night shifts, no weekend work, and a strong training pathway. We value collaborative work in a multidisciplinary team, robust governance, and ongoing CPD with salary of £40,000–£50,000 plus uplifts and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• Have no current restrictions to practice.
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports.
• Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards.
• Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision.
• Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity.
