Job summary

Maximus UK in Chesterfield is seeking a Nurse Functional Assessor to join a hybrid team. You’ll use clinical expertise to assess how health conditions impact daily living and prepare reports for the DWP. The role starts with 6 weeks of training, followed by ongoing supervision and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• Right to work in the UK – no sponsorship available.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for DWP decisions.
• Develop clinical knowledge with regular feedback and supervision.
