MAXIMUS is seeking a Registered Nurse to join as a Nurse Functional Assessor in St Helens. The role involves assessing how a disability or health condition impacts daily living, across physical and mental health cases, with formal training and ongoing support.

The position offers full-time hybrid working, a starting salary of £42,000 rising to £46,000 after 12 months, and a comprehensive benefits package including life insurance and healthcare plans.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Minimum 1 year post‑registration experience in adult or mental health.
• Right to work in the UK – sponsorship not offered.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a health condition affects daily life.
• Produce PIP or WCA reports to assist eligibility determinations.
• Develop clinical knowledge with regular feedback and supervision.
