Job summary

Maximus in Glasgow is seeking a Nurse Functional Assessor to join a flexible, hybrid team. You will assess how health conditions affect daily life across complex cases, with training support and mentorship to help you grow in this important role.

The position offers six weeks of initial training, ongoing professional development and a salary of £39,500 per year, with flexible working options and a balanced schedule designed to support wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration.
• At least 1 year post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• You MUST have the right to work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorships.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to help DWP determine eligibility for benefits.
• Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision.
