Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is offering a Nurse Associate role in Trafford within the Sexual Health and Contraception service. The post supports The Northern Sexual Health Service with clinics at The Urmston Clinic and three spoke clinics across Trafford.

You will work under indirect supervision, provide care across a multi‑disciplinary team, contribute to patient assessments and health promoting activities, and help run nursing associate led clinics.

Responsibilities

• Under indirect supervision, provide and deliver high standard nursing care with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Lead, train and support the nursing assistant team.
• Undertake health advising activities with the nursing health advising team.
• Carry out routine procedures including sexual health screening, venepuncture, microscopy, BP and urine/pregnancy tests.
• Safely administer and optimise medicines in line with Trust policy and NMC standards.
• Administer medicines via oral, topical, rectal, subcutaneous and intramuscular routes.
