Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ year post-qualification experience as a Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Paramedic, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.
• Valid PIN and full registration on the NMC or HCPC, with no conditions or restrictions.
• Excellent communication skills, including active listening, empathy and exploring further when needed.
• Strong time management skills with ability to meet targets and produce quality reports.
• Good computer literacy and comfort with typing.
• Passion for supporting people with both mental and physical health conditions.
• Strong knowledge of long-term and chronic conditions across medical, chronic illness and acute settings.

Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For:

Your Role as a Nurse Assessor:

You will be using your clinical expertise to assess and analyse medical evidence, assessing individuals online and face to face. Providing comprehensive, evidence-based reports.

• Produce detailed reportsthat justify your findings and recommendations to support the DWP in the decision-making process.


• Work closelywith claimants to ensure they are fully informed during the assessment process, managing their expectations and being empathetic during a difficult situation.
