Job summary

ExamWorks UK is recruiting a Nurse Assessor to support the DWP in delivering Functional Assessments. This on-site, permanent role in Dinnington offers both full-time and part-time options and requires a registered nurse or allied health professional with PIN.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience as a Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional.
• Valid PIN and full registration with no conditions on the NMC or HCPC.
• Excellent communication skills, including listening, empathy and exploration.
• Strong time management with ability to meet targets and maintain report quality.
• Good computer literacy and typing ability.
• Passion for supporting people with mental and physical health conditions.
• Knowledge of long-term/chronic conditions across medical, chronic illness and acute settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyse medical evidence, both online and face-to-face, producing comprehensive, evidence-based reports.
• Produce detailed reports that justify findings and recommendations to support DWP decisions.
• Engage with claimants to keep them informed during assessments, managing expectations empathetically.

Your Role as a Nurse Assessor: You will be using your clinical expertise to assess and analyse medical evidence, assessing individuals online and face to face. Providing comprehensive, evidence-based reports.

• Produce detailed reports that justify your findings and recommendations to support the DWP in the decision-making process.
• Work closely with claimants to ensure they are fully informed during the assessment process, managing their expectations and being empathetic during a difficult situation.
