Job summary

Healthcare Homes is seeking a caring nurse to join our Home Close nursing team in Cambridge. You will provide person-centered care, support residents’ physical and emotional needs, and work within a specialist nursing team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

You will be responsible for care planning, documentation, medication administration, and coordinating with GPs and external professionals. The role offers thorough induction, ongoing training through our Healthcare Homes Academy,

Qualifications

• Must hold current NMC registration and experience in care planning.
• Knowledge of MCA/DoLs and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to write detailed care plans including risk and diet plans.
• Strong team coaching and development skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to residents, meeting physical and psychological needs.
• Administration, documentation and ordering of prescribed medication.
• Support with admissions and discharges of residents.
• Weekly GP rounds.
• Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable.
• Coaching, supporting and developing our care team to deliver a high standard of care.

We have a specialist nursing team and the whole team always work to provide varied and engaging activities and compassionate care centred by respect, dignity and choice. What would a typical day look like?

• Provide support and care to our residents, meeting their physical and psychological needs
• Administration, documentation and ordering of prescribed medication
• Support with new admissions and discharges of residents
• Weekly GP rounds
• Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable
• Coaching, supporting and developing our care team to deliver a high standard of care at all times
• Our nursing team are the backbone of our home and it is essential that our team have current NMC registrations, up to date knowledge of clinical practices and experience in writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans. A good understanding of regulatory frameworks including MCA/DoLs is also required.
