Job summary

AVEVA in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mathematical Developer to join the Unified Supply Chain (USC) team. You will contribute to maintenance and development of numerical models used for predictive analytics in crude oil assays, collaborating with engineers and data scientists.

You should bring a strong mathematical background and hands-on programming in C/C++ or C#, with a track record in numerical modelling or mathematical software development. A related degree is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical background.
• Experience in numerical modelling or mathematical software development.
• Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, CS, Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve numerical models and their code.
• Investigate mathematical and software engineering problems through to resolution.
• Own large, technically challenging work items and plan implementations.
• Work with legacy code while improving practices.
• Demonstrate potential to lead technical projects.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
