Numerate Graduates - Maths/Economics/Physics etc.. - Graduate Trading Assistant - Central London - Shift Patterns / Onsite - Salary up to £33,000 dependent on skills & experience - J12839

Candidates applying for this role will need to work on shift patterns of 07:00 - 17:00 and 14:00 - 00:00, including 50% weekend work.

Applicants must live locally to central London or plan to relocate.

Our long-standing international client is recruiting for their Trading Operations Team within the sports trading industry. This role offers the chance to work with a large centralised database in a collaborative environment with highly qualified colleagues.

As part of the operations team, you will operate and monitor global trading activities via the trading platform. Attention to detail, confidence in identifying errors, and a drive to succeed are essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and operating 24/7 trading platforms
• Identifying inconsistencies, errors, and unusual activity
• Analyzing customer, counterparty, and market behavior
• Communicating with traders, counterparties, and venues as needed
• Troubleshooting trade cycle issues
• Collaborating with developers and traders to enhance platform functionality

Skills required:

• BSc degree in a mathematical or scientific subject, 2.1 or above, preferably from a red brick university
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Quick learner for new applications
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong numeracy skills, including understanding of probabilities
• Ability to manage different time zones and currencies
• Confidence in making informed trading decisions
• Organizational skills and a structured work approach
• Knowledge of SQL is advantageous but can be learned on the job
