Job summary

St Bede's Catholic Voluntary Academy in Scunthorpe is seeking an enthusiastic Academic Intervention Coordinator for Numeracy to raise student achievement. You will work with students aged 11-16 who require additional support to develop their mathematical understanding and reach their target grades.

The role is permanent, starting in October 2026, at 35 hours per week (8:30am - 4:00pm), term time only, within a caring school community and the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.

Responsibilities

• Be caring, supportive and committed to helping every student achieve their best.
• Inspire confidence and enthusiasm for numeracy and mathematical learning.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver targeted interventions that accelerate progress.
• Support the planning, preparation and delivery of effective numeracy programmes.
• Build positive relationships that enable students to feel supported, challenged and motivated.
• Promote students' wellbeing, resilience and self-belief.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions to ensure strong outcomes.
• Play a vital role in removing barriers to learning and raising achievement across the school.
