Job summary

Westinghouse is seeking a Sustainability Manager at its Preston site to lead and accelerate sustainability initiatives. You will define and embed a structured programme covering carbon reduction, resource efficiency, biodiversity, circular economy and social value, reporting to the Head of Environment.

You will work across functions to turn strategic goals into practical, measurable actions in a highly regulated environment, influencing teams and driving progress.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering sustainability programmes in a regulated or industrial setting.
• Experience with carbon/net zero, energy efficiency, biodiversity, and social impact.
• Hands-on and operationally capable, with strong influencing skills.
• Experience developing strategies, targets and reporting mechanisms.
• Excellent project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a site-level sustainability strategy aligned with targets and regulatory obligations.
• Identify and prioritise sustainability projects (carbon reduction, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste minimisation, biodiversity).
• Establish metrics, goals and roadmaps to track progress and demonstrate impact.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to embed sustainability across the site.
• Engage with regulators, suppliers and community groups to communicate progress.
