Job summary
ALTEN UK is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team working on safety-critical buildings and nuclear-related structures. You will contribute to detailed design, calculations and assessment work, developing finite element models with ANSYS APDL and supporting regulated engineering environments.
The role requires experience in FEA, reinforced concrete, seismic analysis or soil–structure interaction, and a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (or equivalent military
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
- Experience in structural, civil or mechanical analysis for safety-critical projects.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and ANSYS APDL.
Responsibilities
- Participate in detailed structural design of buildings within a multidisciplinary team.
- Prepare engineering calculation notes and technical substantiation documents.
- Analyze drawings and specifications and develop finite element models using ANSYS APDL.
- Carry out soil–structure interaction assessments and seismic calculations.
- Support safety assessments for complex infrastructure projects.
