Job summary

ALTEN UK seeks an experienced Senior Civil Structural Design Engineer to lead structural design efforts on reinforced concrete and steel structures within the Nuclear Island of EPR nuclear power plants. This role focuses on safety-critical facilities and compliance with high standards.

The candidate will oversee an international engineering team, collaborate with BIM, and provide on-site support during construction while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience in RC and steel structure design for large-scale infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Eurocodes for design validation.
• Proficiency with structural analysis tools and BIM integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead international engineering team on Nuclear Island structures for EPR plants.
• Design and analyze reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Ensure compliance with Eurocode, ETC-C, and nuclear safety standards.
• Assess seismic, dynamic, and construction-related loads.
