Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking an Area Lead for a permanent, full-time on-site role at Hinkley Point C. You will coordinate multiple teams, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive project milestones to successful completion in a challenging nuclear environment.

Responsibilities include supervising daily construction operations, coordinating with contractors, implementing stringent quality and safety controls, maintaining schedules, and reporting progress to stakeholders while safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience leading area-wide construction teams in nuclear facilities.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to develop schedules and manage resources.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on-site at Hinkley Point C.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate various teams to meet safety and project milestones.
• Oversee daily construction operations and ensure work aligns with specifications and timelines.
• Implement quality control measures for nuclear construction.
• Develop and enforce site safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Manage investigations of safety incidents and share corrective actions.
• Act as main point of contact with project managers, engineers and regulators.
• Prepare reports on progress, safety performance and issues.
• Manage resources to keep project on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain construction schedules and coordinate with other project areas.
• Stay informed about regulations and standards; facilitate audits.
• Maintain records to support inspections.
