Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR Limited is seeking a Security Case Advisor to support the security team by producing technical reports and contributing to the nuclear security case for future Rolls‑Royce SMR power stations. You will coordinate with regulators, customers and internal teams to ensure consistency and robust substantiation of claims, arguments and evidence.

The role involves collaboration across safety, safeguards and environmental functions, and requires experience with regulatory submissions,

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent recognised qualifications representing a scientific or engineering approach.
• Knowledge of nuclear security (or other safety‑critical industries).
• Experience interpreting regulations and legislative instruments.
• Experience delivering documents to regulatory/customer expectations.
• Experience with the 'claims-arguments-evidence' substantiation approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical report writing and editing support to the Security Case Manager.
• Help develop and collate a Nuclear Security Case for Rolls‑Royce SMR Power Station.
• Engage Regulators, Customers and stakeholders as part of the design process.
• Ensure consistency of the Nuclear Security Case and alignment with other teams.
• Collaborate with the wider E3S safety, safeguards and environment teams.
