Job summary

Quest Global in the United Kingdom is seeking engineers to expand our Systems and Project Engineering capability for nuclear facilities. You will work across design, safety, risk, and governance with stakeholders and uphold regulatory compliance.

UK nationals with security clearance are required; you will collaborate with diverse teams across facilities and contribute to risk assessments, safety cases, and design reviews throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Understanding of project life cycle from concept to operations and maintenance.
• Experience with risk assessment, hazard identification and consequence analysis.
• Ability to develop safety cases and justify design and operation.
• Familiarity with regulatory nuclear safety requirements and compliance.
• Experience in design/construction phases, dock environments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with facilities engineering leads to report progress and manage risks and opportunities.
• Define and conduct governance meetings and session reviews.
• Adopt learnings and best practices from other engagements.
• Perform technical feasibility studies and site investigations.
• Develop detailed safety requirement specifications.
• Support projects through the engineering lifecycle.
• Assess project risks and perform specialist risk management.
• Review project documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate with a wide set of stakeholders.
• Think creatively and logically to resolve design problems.
• Be adaptable to evolving project requirements and notify changes.
• Compile and peer review project and technical reports.
