Job summary

Assystem in the United Kingdom seeks a technical leader to drive complex nuclear-engineering projects. You will oversee lifecycle handover points, manage engineering issues, and ensure safety cases are accurately escalated and resolved.

You will liaise with stakeholders, prioritise queries, and support risk management across design, manufacture, delivery and commissioning phases. Hybrid work arrangement offered with periodic travel to UK sites and client offices.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership delivering technical solutions in complex, regulated environments.
• Experience engaging diverse stakeholders and resolving issues.
• Knowledge of EU directives, British Standards and company standards.
• Degree with professional chartered status in engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with CDM Regulations and project management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lifecycle handover points (design to commissioning) on time.
• Manage and resolve engineering issues (EQ, EW, open points).
• Engage approval bodies when safety cases may be impacted.
• Liaise with all parties to ensure on-time information exchange.
• Prioritise queries to discharge resolution efficiently.
• Deliver engineering delivers with key stakeholders' support.
• Provide engineering support across activities and interfaces.
• Ensure Technical Acceptance and surveillance delivery.
• Support management of engineering risks and opportunities.
• Ensure design interfaces and supplier feedback are controlled.
• Support QC lead in resolving NCRs; track manufacturing QC.
• Follow up equipment qualification programmes.
