Job summary

Ledwood are recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer to join the nuclear construction team at Hinkley Point C, onsite in Bridgwater. You will provide QA/QC oversight across 12,750Te of equipment and ensure compliance with ONR and IAEA standards supporting the Arabelle turbine integration.

The role reports to the Site QA Manager and involves 10 hours per day on a 10 on/4 off rotation through to 2029, with lodge allowance for distance from site and a competitive pay package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in a nuclear setting with ONC/BTEC/C&G qualifications.
• Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant discipline and a welding inspection certificate.
• Membership of Chartered Quality Institute or equivalent and safety passport.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and quality management software.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, surveillance and verification across the project scope per nuclear codes.
• Develop QA/QC programs for nuclear construction activities and train staff on QMS.
• Review ITPs, weld docs, quality records, and supplier certifications for compliance.
• Conduct root cause analyses and manage NCRs and corrective actions.
• Liaise with client and NNB quality teams during audits and hold points.
• Ensure documentation traceability and monitor QMS effectiveness across lifecycle.
• Promote continuous quality and nuclear safety culture on site.
