Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking a Quality Management Lead (Mechanical) for the Hinkley Point C project and related sites. You will champion QA/QC across engineering and construction, ensuring materials and processes meet top standards from design through commissioning.

With extensive safety-critical project delivery experience, you will lead quality initiatives, guide teams, and influence suppliers while communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in English (French a plus).

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in project delivery within safety-critical industries, preferably nuclear.
• Deep understanding of QA and QC processes across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.
• Excellent communication skills with confidence to engage with internal teams, supply chain, and external stakeholders.
• Proven leadership in complex quality environments, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
• Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Champion quality assurance and control standards across complex engineering and construction initiatives, ensuring materials, processes, and supplies meet the highest standards from design through to commissioning.
• Provide strategic quality leadership and governance for nuclear-related projects across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive continuous quality improvements.
