Job summary

Sphere Solutions is recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance / Quality Control professional to join a specialist construction contractor on the Hinkley Point C project. The role oversees QA across the site, ensuring works align with drawings, specifications, ITPs and client requirements.

Your responsibilities include managing QA/QC activities, conducting inspections, maintaining ITPs, and raising NCRs. You will coordinate with the client team and monitor subcontractor quality to uphold

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a QA/QC role within construction.
• Experience managing NCRs and corrective actions.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Hinkley Point C experience/induction is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day QA/QC activities across the project.
• Complete inspections and quality checks of installation works.
• Review and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
• Raise, monitor and close out NCRs and quality observations.
• Coordinate inspections and sign-offs with the client team.
• Monitor subcontractor quality and workmanship.
• Complete site walkdowns and quality audits.
• Ensure relevant documentation is completed and uploaded to project systems.
• Support the project team in identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Liaise with site management, engineers and the wider client team to ensure quality standards are maintained.
