Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company at Springfields Fuel Site in Salwick, Preston, GB, seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, drive reliability, and ensure safe, efficient operation of plant and facilities. You will manage a skilled team and guide continuous improvement in maintenance strategy, asset reliability, and cost control.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and requires strong leadership across mechanical and electrical disciplines with emphasis on health and safety compliance and

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent experience in Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, CEng/EngTech)
• Experience with CMMS and asset management systems

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the maintenance team.
• Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) strategies
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Manage maintenance budgets, spares, and external contractors
• Minimise downtime through fault diagnosis and root cause analysis
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and KPIs using CMMS systems
