Zusammenfassung

Assystem in Warrington is seeking a Layout Integration Engineer to developing and delivering integrated plant layouts for Fusion and Modular Nuclear programmes. You will own layout development from concept to detailed design, coordinating across Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil & Structural and Systems disciplines.

The role emphasizes 3D CAD/BIM delivery, safety and operability, and driving interfaces and clashes to resolution while supporting modularisation and construction assessments.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in plant layout, piping design, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience within nuclear, power, defence, submarine, oil & gas or similar complex environments.
• Experience using CAD/BIM tools (E3D, PDMS, Plant 3D, NX, Revit, Inventor, Navisworks).
• Ability to interpret PFDs and P&IDs.
• Understanding of systems engineering, requirements and interface management.
• SC Clearance or capable of achieving it.

Aufgaben

• Own layout development for assigned systems, buildings or plant areas.
• Develop integrated equipment, piping, cable tray, access and maintenance layouts.
• Interpret and apply PFDs, P&IDs and equipment data sheets.
• Capture and manage design assumptions, constraints and interfaces.
• Develop layouts within 3D CAD/BIM environments.
• Lead piping routing studies and plant integration activities.
• Act as the primary layout focal point for assigned work packages.
• Coordinate design activities across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Lead multidisciplinary workshops, model reviews and layout reviews.
• Identify clashes, interfaces and design conflicts and drive their resolution.
• Ensure layout solutions satisfy system, operational, safety, construction and maintenance requirements.
• Produce general arrangements, layout studies and engineering deliverables.
• Author technical reports, optioneering studies and engineering recommendations.
• Present technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Support modularisation, construction and maintainability assessments.
• Support requirements management and interface management activities.
