Job summary

Framatome seeks a JDO Mechanical Calculation Engineer to join the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater. You will manage piping discipline interfaces, ensuring compliance with nuclear standards during on-site installation and design verification.

The role requires 3+ years in mechanical calculation, knowledge of EUROCODE/ASME/RCC-M, and experience with PipeStress, RSTAB, and ANSYS. English proficiency is essential for multi-disciplinary collaboration on site.

Qualifications

• Master’s in science, Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in Mechanical Calculation or nuclear industry.
• Knowledge of EUROCODE, ASME and RCC-M.
• Experience with 2D/3D design and calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and analysis for piping systems and supports.
• Perform piping flexibility, support calculations, and FE analyses.
• Dynamic analysis of seismic, thermal effects on structures.
• Design and calculate anchorages, welds and bolted connections.
• Provide technical clarifications to site and other disciplines.
• Collaborate with installation contractors and CAD designers.
