Job summary

Framatome is seeking a JDO Piping Design Engineer for the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater, UK. You will manage piping design interfaces, conduct site surveys, and ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards, while coordinating with CAD designers and other disciplines.

The role covers Piping Design and Mechanical Calculation tasks, including RFIs/FCRs/NCRs, tolerance documentation, and supporting calculations with PipeStress, RSTAB and ANSYS. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s in science or equivalent with Mechanical Engineering background.
• Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in Mechanical Calculation, nuclear industry, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of EUROCODE, ASME and RCC-M codes.

Responsibilities

• Piping design tasks: liaise with stakeholders, handle site RFIs/FCRs/NCRs, support and anchorage assessments, update design docs, ensure QA compliance.
• Mechanical calculation tasks: running calculations and macros, piping flexibility and support calculations, FE analysis using PipeStress, RSTAB and ANSYS.
