Framatome in the United Kingdom, Bridgwater, is seeking a JDO Mechanical Calculation Engineer to support piping design for the HPC project. You will perform piping stress analyses, FEAs, and verify calculations, collaborating with multiple disciplines and site teams to ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards and project milestones.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in mechanical engineering with at least three years’ experience in mechanical calculation within the nuclear sector,

Qualifications

• Master’s in science, Mechanical engineering degree.
• 3 years minimum in Mechanical Calculation, nuclear industry, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and analysis for piping systems and supports.
• Perform piping stress analyses and FEAs to address installation and operational issues.
• Design and calculate anchorages, welds and bolted connections for piping supports.
• Verify calculation notes for equipment such as Pumps, Valves, Flanges and Heat Exchangers.
• Provide technical clarifications to site and engage with multiple disciplines.
