Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager for a Nuclear build project in North Somerset. The role requires leadership across piping, valves and mechanical works, coordinating with Construction, Quality, Planning and Commercial teams to support the construction programme.

The position is hybrid (3-4 days in the office) with a balance of remote work, contracted Inside IR35, and an end date renewable beyond December 2027. Strong coordination and HSE focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Engineering discipline.
• Experience executing PM across major schemes, nuclear sector is a plus.
• APM certification or equivalent required.
• Large-scale mechanical construction/installation experience expected.
• Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills.
• HSE champion with proactive risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate piping, valves, mechanical supports with site teams.
• Deliver safe, effective on-site execution from readiness to installation and handover.
• Coordinate priorities, installation sequencing and interfaces across disciplines.
• Use programme data to identify issues, remove blockers and optimize resources.
• Act as key interface between Client, site teams and supply chain for timely decisions.
