Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor at HMNB Clyde Faslane. You will lead and manage engineering work packages that support safe, efficient, high‑quality delivery within our Nuclear Repair team across vessels, coordinating multiple work streams while ensuring safety, cost, schedule and quality compliance.

This full‑time (36 hours/week, Mon–Thu 07:15–16:45) role is on site. You will supervise teams, manage subcontractors, and drive continuous improvement in a highly regulated setting,

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience within an engineering or industrial environment.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, marine or heavy engineering.
• Strong knowledge and application of safe systems of work.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic operational setting.
• Capability to work safely at heights where required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, sequence and schedule tasks to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
• Lead and coordinate engineering work packages across fleet assets.
• Manage teams and subcontractors, ensuring capability, performance and compliance.
• Promote safety, quality and environmental standards and safe systems of work.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and report progress.
