Job summary

Amentum is recruiting an Equipment Qualification Engineer to join the Materials and Equipment Qualification team, supporting major UK nuclear new build projects such as Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. You will author and review EQ documentation, lead technical reviews, coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the nuclear safety case with robust substantiation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials or Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering Equipment Qualification activities within the nuclear industry.
• Experience authoring EQ Strategies, EQ Programmes and Qualification Summary Reports.
• Understanding of EQ methodologies and their role in nuclear safety cases.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams with stakeholders.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced projects.
• Proactive, collaborative approach focused on engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Authoring, reviewing and verifying Equipment Qualification documentation.
• Lead technical reviewer for Equipment Qualification documentation.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve issues and manage technical conclusions.
• Coordinate input from multidisciplinary teams and external organisations.
• Assess and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Engage with clients on EQ aspects of the nuclear safety case.
• Review supplier qualification evidence for compliance.
• Contribute to improving EQ processes and methods.
