Job summary

Amentum is actively recruiting Senior and Principal Safety Case Engineers to join our Environment Business. You will provide nuclear safety case support across the full lifecycle for UK and international projects, delivering hazard analyses and safety case documentation.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior engineers, leading risk assessments, and coordinating with regulators. Hybrid working across Warrington, London, Harwell, and other sites is available.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• Strong nuclear industry experience with safety case development.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide nuclear safety case support through the full lifecycle.
• Lead hazard identification studies and safety case strategies.
• Deliver deterministic and probabilistic safety assessments.
• Prepare safety case documentation and reports.
• Offer independent review of safety case documentation.
