Assystem, a leading nuclear engineering firm, is seeking an experienced engineer to drive delivery across design, manufacture, delivery and commissioning. You will manage engineering issues, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure adherence to Safety Case and project plans.

The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication, and a track record in regulated environments. Hybrid work is available with occasional UK travel to client sites and offices.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technical leadership in a complex, regulated environment, ideally nuclear.
• Awareness of integrated management systems and applicable standards.
• Significant expertise in the relevant technical discipline.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and facilitating issue resolution.
• Ability to build and maintain strong project team relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and related processes.
• PM practices: PRINCE2 or APMP/APM knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Ensure timely delivery of lifecycle handover points (design to commissioning).
• Manage and resolve engineering issues (EQ, EW, open points, design changes).
• Engage approval bodies when Safety Case is impacted.
• Coordinate information exchange among delivery parties and ensure plan adherence.
• Prioritise queries to discharge resolution efficiently for manufacturing and installation.
• Deliver engineering deliverables with stakeholder collaboration.
• Escalate and resolve issues across design contributors during installation.
• Support Technical Acceptance and surveillance activities per framework.
• Manage engineering risks and opportunities within ARM where applicable.
• Ensure design interfaces and supplier feedback are effectively controlled.
• Support Quality Management Lead in resolving manufacturing NCRs.
• Follow-up equipment qualification programmes to expedite issues.
